Known for its striking appearance, the clown tree frog typically has a light tan, yellow, or orange body with dark brown spots that resemble polka dots. Its colors and patterns help it blend into its environment.

At Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Comunal Reserve are  Found in lowland tropical forests, especially in areas close to water, like ponds or marshes, where they breed. They prefer the canopy but can be  found at lower levels during the breeding season.
