Our best 6-day exploration in the Amazon jungle will take you on one of the most biodiverse trips in the world and you will get to know one of the most virgin jungles of the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest, where the traveler will experience 1 Full Day and 1 night of camping in primary jungle. Our jungle naturalist guides are specialists in finding wildlife such as birds (over 500 endemic birds species in our area), monkeys (over 10 species in our area), sloths, snakes, alligators, gray and pink dolphins, medicinal plants and giant trees. If you are lucky, your private jungle guide might find anacondas, capybaras, giant otters and Jaguars, that it is very easy to find their footprints on the jungle hiking. This is the best exploration for lovers of wildlife, bird watching and photography.

Our jungle excursions include hiking, boat excursion, canoeing, sport fishing, visits to the local communities, swimming near dolphins in the Amazon River, medicinal plant tour, Full Day, jungle survival and camping.

Day 1 - Arrival to Iquitos

9:15 a.m. Reception at the Airport or Hotel in Iquitos

We will take you to our office to complete all the details of your excursion. Transfer by land (road) and speedboat (navigating the Amazon River) This is a 3-hour trip to our jungle Lodge. Welcome drink of local fruits and distribution in your private Bungalow (a jungle ensuite room).

1:00 p.m. Lunch time

First contact with the wild jungle with a walk of 2-3 hours learning about medicine plants special trees like rubber tree and searching wild animals, like monkeys, sloths, birds and others.

7:00 p.m. Dinner time

Night excursion by boat searching caymans, snakes and nocturnal birds, frogs, tarantulas, capybaras biggest rodent in the world, anacondas and others.

Day 2

6:00 a.m.

Early morning wild exploration by boat, jungle walk, fishing of piranhas, oscar fish, sardins, catfish and others (optional for birdwatching) this activity includes breakfast on board in order to gain time exploring 5-6 hours all morning.

1:00 p.m. Lunch time.

Excursion by boat exploring lakes observation of giant lily pads (Victoria amazonica) and dolphins (pinks and grays) optional swimming with them, and the opportunity to observe the beautiful Amazon Sunset.

7:00 p.m. Dinner time.

Jungle walks for searching nocturnal wild animals like tarantulas, spiders, cane toads, smoky jungle frog, snakes, rodents, monkeys and others.

Day 3

8:00 a.m. Breakfast time

Boat exploration and jungle walk for searching the prehistoric hoatzin birds, monkeys and other species.

1:00 p.m. Lunch time

Excursion by boat searching birds, monkeys, sloths and more wildlife.

7:00 p.m. Dinner time

Night Excursion to choose on the part of the passenger in coordination with your guide.

Day 4

8:00 a.m. Breakfast time.

Excursion by boat we go to the Lake Yarina exploration in primary jungle in search of anacondas, monkeys, other varieties of birds and mammals.

1:00 p.m. Lunch time.

Exploration by boat or walk. Learning about how to survive in the jungle, knowing material items to make a shelter, vines to get water and food to eat.

7:00 p.m. Dinner time.

Free night to relax.

Day 5

8:00 a.m. Breakfast time.

Departure for going to camp deep in the jungle sleeping in tents (overnight there) where we will explore canoeing, walking, fishing, cayman spotting, and jungle sound symphony (full exploring) on this tour is included lunch and dinner.

Day 6 - Return from camping to the lodge

8:00 a.m. Breakfast time.

Visit the village San Juan or Ayacucho and have the opportunity to buy handcrafts. Talk about what we do the 5 days in the jungle (recap).

1:00 p.m. Lunch time.

1:30 or 2:00 p.m. Departure to Iquitos.

4:00 p.m. Is the estimate arrival time in Iquitos, transfer to the airport or hotel in Iquitos.

Pick up from the Airport/Hotel, transfer to and from the Lodge, full meals, purified water, rubber boots, Private Bungalow, Private Guide, free Wi-Fi and all excursions during your stay in Curassow.

We do not include

Air tickets, additional consumption at the Lodge (Bar and tips), craft purchases, lodging or food in the city of Iquitos.

To take into account

Curassow is only accessible by our private transports. Our transfer leaves Iquitos to the Lodge every day at 9:30 AM. And return from the Lodge to Iquitos after lunch between 1:30 to 2:00 PM. Arriving in Iquitos at approximately 4:00 PM. To comply with this itinerary, you must be in Iquitos before 9:00 AM. and for your last day your flight must depart from Iquitos after 6:00 PM.

Our new route by land and speedboat allows us to transport travelers who arrive in Iquitos until before 2 PM. If you have flights outside the time of our private transfers, just let us know to schedule an extra transportation without additional charges.

Children under 2 years old travel free. There is a 50% discount for children under 12 years old and 20% discount for students from 13 to 17 years old.
