Posted onVerified Unser Trip in den peruanischen Dschungel Unser Trip in den peruanischen Amazonas war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Die Curassow Lodge ist hervorragend ausgestattet und gleichzeitig sehr gemütlich – ein perfekter Rückzugsort mitten im Dschungel. Trotz der abgelegenen Lage hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das überaus freundliche und aufmerksame Personal, das unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Auch das Essen war durchweg lecker und abwechslungsreich. Ein absolutes Highlight unserer Reise waren jedoch unsere Guides Flavio und Segundo. Ihr Wissen über die Tier- und Pflanzenwelt ist beeindruckend und hat jede Tour zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Flavio spricht zudem sehr klares und gut verständliches Englisch, was die Kommunikation besonders angenehm gestaltet hat. Quelle émotion! Nous faisons la rencontre de Flavio, notre guide pour le séjour et de Clevert, notre interprète en français. Nous savons déjà que ce sera une aventure humaine inoubliable. Après une heure de bateau à moteur, l'émerveillement est déjà là ! Le lodge se compose de plusieurs bungalows confortables sur pilotis et d'une magnifique salle à manger au centre. Vous pourrez vous délecter d'un petit moment suspendu dans les hamacs mis à disposition. Sans compter sur une cuisine raffinée et un personnel toujours dévoué. Un grand merci à Eric pour sa disponibilité toute en discrétion. Notre séjour de trois jours ira d'émerveillement en émerveillement accompagné de SUPER Flavio! Grâce à ses connaissances et à son oeil avisé, nous aurons la chance de découvrir toutes les beautés de la faune et de la flore qui en font un trésor précieux. Caïmans, paresseux, singes et oiseaux de toutes sortes et de toutes couleurs, serpents, piranhas sans oublier les dauphins roses nous accompagnent et nous fascinent. Alors foncez... les yeux grands ouverts et le coeur aussi! Everything was very well organized, with private guides, delicious freshly cooked meals, and comfortable accommodation equipped with mosquito nets. We were looked after by two guides, Flavio and Iván, and we felt safe and truly cared for the entire time. Flavio shared fascinating information (he speaks both english and spanish) about jungle life, the local animals, and stories from his own experiences. Iván even made a plant fan for me to help keep the mosquitoes away 🥹 We mentioned that seeing a sloth was our dream—and we ended up seeing one three times! Plus many, many other animals. You really need to experience this place yourself. We’re so happy we chose this lodge among all the available options!Posted onVerified Best experience ever in the Amazon I just spent 5 days at Curassow Amazon Lodge and honestly, it was pure magic. Forget the pictures, because being there is something else entirely—so peaceful, totally unplugged, and the jungle sounds are insane. We booked a 5-day stay and it flew by. While the lodge itself is cozy and super clean, the whole vibe comes down to the people. Our main guide, Alex, was brilliant. He made every outing feel like a real adventure and his knowledge about the wildlife (and how to spot them!) was next level. We saw sloths, caimans, monkeys—you name it. Big shoutout also to Jeremiah, who was our driver; he kept us safe on the water and was always smiling. And Martin and the entire lodge team (the chefs, the boat guys, everyone!) kept us so well-fed and taken care of the whole time. It felt more like staying with family than at a resort. Also they organised the best birthday party ever for my best friend which was a surprise for her but oh my what a party that was. Thank you everyone for all the wonderful memories, work and the best time ever. If you’re looking for an authentic Amazon experience where you feel totally comfortable and learn a ton, you have to book here. Seriously, I miss waking up there already. And the most important and funny “person “ there is little Juliano who is the heart of the lodge.Posted onVerified Fantastisch verblijf bij Curassow Amazon Lodge Met een groep van vijf vrienden verbleven we gedurende vijf dagen in de Curassow Amazon Lodge. Het was een onvergetelijke ervaring. Onze gidsen Flavio en Ivan waren super. Flavio sprak Engels en gaf ons heel veel uitleg over alle fauna en flora hier tijdens excursies op de rivier en in de bossen. Ivan is een lokale inwoner met ook heel veel expertise en vermogen om dieren te spotten. Naast hun kennis zijn ze beiden ook gewoon super vriendelijk, staan ze open voor suggesties, en beantwoorden al je vragen zo goed als ze kunnen. Het eten in de lodge (ontbijt, middag-, en avondmaal) is super lekker en we hadden geen één keer last van onze maag, wat je niet kan zeggen over de meeste plaatsen in Peru. De kamers zijn simpel, maar hebben alles wat je nodig hebt. Bedden met muggennet, badkamer met douche, toilet, en lavabo. Er zijn ook permanent schoon water, koffie, tee, en koekjes aanwezig. Ik raad iedereen aan om hier te verblijven en zich te laten verwonderen door de natuur hier en de kennis van de lokale mensen.Posted onVerified Trip of a lifetime Our stay at Curassow Lodge was very special. It was an absolutely sensational experience in every sense of the word! Every excursion is a new adventure, where we got to see the rainforest from a new perspective. Be it watching troops of monkeys leap across the tree tops, to admiring countless little frogs, right by the boat, filling the darkness with noises you could never expect from such tiny creatures. Just being there, in the middle of the Amazon, is a truly special thing. Our guide, Flávio of the Jungle, and Jeremy were outstanding. Flávio’s knowledge and experience made our trip what it was… we really enjoyed learning from him, and talking about anything and everything while on the boat. Some of the different wildlife Jeremy spotted, while also driving the boat, was actually hard to comprehend… not to mention his fishing skills! Watching Flávio and Jeremy work together was one of the highlights of our trip.. we are very grateful that they have chosen to use their skills to help the rest of us appreciate one of the most special places we have on this planet. Cesar was also a fantastic host, and thanks to MartÃn for organising our luggage and transport when we got back to Iquitos… it gave us a chance to relax with a drink and reflect on a truly special experience. Thanks everyone. Brendan and KatePosted onVerified There's a reason Amazon - starts with AMAZ'ing! * * * * * Well! My experience at Curassow was simply sensational. It was everything I wanted and more. Travelling solo - I was well looked after by everyone and my guide and boat captain were so focused on me experiencing everything the Amazon had to offer. Flavio and Jeremy went above and beyond their duty to make sure everything was perfect for me. Flavio in particular was so passionate about the Amazon - but also demonstrated his ability to find animals in the wild at will. The amount of times he spotted creatures as we moved at speed - and then I struggled to find them even with his laser pointer showing me the way (but I alawys spotted them eventually) - he was incredible and such a lovely soul as well... If you want 5 star - this isn't for you - but it was very, very, very comfortable and the program well thought out and at the end of the day - such great value for money. Whether it was night walks in the jungle, fishing for and eating Piranha or swimming in the Amazon (not at the same time).... every outing blew me away. There's hectic times for sure - when you want the animals early in the morning or late at night - but there's plenty of time to kick back in a hammock overlooking the water. Plenty of activities are available during the day and the night, particularly there are excursion by boat in the morning and in the night for animals observation and jungle exploration , furthermore there are hikes in the jungle during the day and during the night for nocturnal animals observation. All the staff of the lodge is extraordinary polite and very helpful. Antonio our guide is a nice guy , speaks fluent English and Spanish, has the ability to find out animals even in the dark , recognises the different species of the animals , he is an expertise in the the flora and fauna of the Amazon ecosystem , refers to each animal with its scientific term , as well with the name has been given by the local people.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
